4th International RSA Meeting in retrospect
May 13-15 NRT was represented at the technical exhibition at the 4th International RSA Meeting, hosted at Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli in Bologna. This bi-annual event offered plenty of opportunities for networking with the RSA community and for insights into current RSA research and needs.
Adora RSA and the AutoRSA project* received a high rate of exposure, as many scientific presentations referred directly to the system and the project. In a lecture note, ‘RSA today and beyond’, Leif Ryd further highlighted the AutoRSA project as one of the most important ongoing research & development initiatives within the field of RSA. The take-away among the community was that Adora RSA and the perspectives embedded in the AutoRSA project can be instrumental in limiting or even eliminating many of the technical & practical barriers in current RSA research – and ultimately pave the way for RSA as a clinical QA instrument.
* AutoRSA is a collaboration between Aarhus University, Aarhus University Hospital, Aalborg University Hospital and NRT aiming at an integrated diagnostic imaging platform for QA of artificial joint implants and dynamic studies of moving joints. The project is co-financed by the Danish Innovation Foundation.
